Daniella Boon

Daniella is a trustee of River Action and the Founder and CEO of Waterwatch UK, a grassroots
organisation working to stop pollution across Britain’s waters by holding water companies,
regulators, local authorities and government to account. She founded the organisation after
witnessing sewage discharged into the Thames estuary and has since led the creation of
community groups and Water Summits to drive systemic, community-led change.

With a background in charity governance, CRM systems and stakeholder engagement, Daniella
brings operational expertise and a strong focus on transparency, participation and impact. She
believes practical, collective action is key to restoring the health of the UK’s waters and is
committed to building a national network of empowered communities.

Daniella is also Rear Commodore of her local sailing club and a year-round cold water swimmer,
often found out on the support boat during the racing season. Her connection to the water fuels
her commitment to change.
